North Ridgeville Ohio Police Chief Mike Freeman will have a letter of reprimand

North Ridgeville Ohio Police Chief Mike Freeman will have a letter of reprimand put in his file over the blowup he had with Avon police after his wife was arrested Nov. 19 for shoplifting at Target. He was also encouraged Freeman to get anger management counseling.Mrs. Freeman was taken out of Target in handcuffs that were concealed under a blanket while pushing her 2-year-old son in a stroller. She was brought to the Avon police station where her son was kept in the jail holding area with her while she was booked. When Freeman arrived to pick up his wife, he became upset with the Avon police handling of her case, arguing that she should have just been cited and released. Mayor Gillock said he had a discussion with Chief Freeman because there “was concern about the police chief’s reaction.”
