Chief Accidentally Shoots Self with Duty Weapon
BANGOR, Maine -- Chief Mark Hathaway, a 25-year veteran
officer apparently shot himself in the hand."At approximately 5:15 p.m.,
while officers were cleaning their new guns at the Bangor police station, Chief
Mark Hathaway sustained a non-life threatening injury to his left hand in what
appears to be an accidental discharge of his duty weapon," City Manager
Cathy Conlow said in the statement.

won't be filed against Lynchburg officer who accidentally shot another officer
LYNCHBURG, Va.— Charges will not be filed against a
Lynchburg cop who accidentally shot another cop. On April 10, T.M. Clark
accidentally shot Gary Hilber as police were trying to serve a warrant. The
states attorney found that a number of factors contributed to the shooting
including, the language between the two officers, and the fact that Hilber was
not wearing a uniform all were factors to the shooting.
